The good news about Trump and environment salvation

Don’t despair. There is seriously good environmental news in the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States.

  • He dispelled long-held perceptions by environmentalists that government would somehow save the next generation from ecological
  • In so doing, he inadvertently cleared the way for the emergence of the only solution to the environmental problem that can actually work in the time availa

In short,

NOW THAT THE HOPES AND DREAMS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ESTABLISHMENT HAVE BEEN SHATTERED, SOCIETY CAN FINALLY GET ON WITH THE ONE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM BIG MONEY AND MISINFORMATION

CAN’T STOP!!

What we have here is a historical turning point in the long fight to actually save the environment. Government as ecological savior has just shown its dark side; the people will have to find salvation elsewhere. There is but one way: consumer-driven free-enterprise economics turned environmental champion by the profit motive. It’s a solution that fights fire (“green “

business) with fire (polluting business), industry money with consumer money, their self-interest with the best-interest of the

children and culturally-induced ignorance with academic education. No company or industry, no matter how big, can go against consumer demand and survive in the marketplace. No government can shunt aside the wishes and desires of those who drive the economy.

I have tried to advance this solution for 25 years, but could never get past the dogged environmentalist belief that somehow government was going to fix the problem. Then Donald Trump pulled the rug out from under those believers.

As the shock of November 4th unfolded, I stood there with a nearly finished book manuscript three grinding years in the

making that explained (a) why consumer-driven free-enterprise environmental problem-solving was the only way out of ecological ruin and (b) why government cannot defeat it. I didn’t know the Trump debacle was coming when I started writing The Horizon Children, but I did know that government could not solve the problem even if it wanted to. It never dawned on me that any responsible government, especially an American one, would chose to work against the ecological best-interests of today’s newborns. But it has happened.

The more I think about it, the more I smile; and I say to today’s young people: take heart, a great opportunity has been

laid at our feet. For, while it’s true that government cannot solve the environmental problem, it is just as true that government can’t keep consumer-driven free enterprise economics from solving the problem quite on its own.

For that to happen, “the last environmental saviors” have to seize on the opportunity presented. That’s what this blog and The Horizon Children—due out by years’ end—are all about: teach consumers how to buy their way out of ecological ruin; teach entrepreneurs how to get rich saving the environment; help launch a “green” consumer revolution that turns the marketplace into a champion of environmental preservation.
